Booyakasha!

TMNT have taken over Sydney! Larger than life balloon sculptures of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo were created by Matthew Falloon to celebrate the release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rise of the Turtle DVD, which is out today.

How AWSM do they look, YAKS? They’re five metres tall and took two days to build. We reckon it’s a rad effort ‘cos they totez look like the dudes! We dig that they even have weapons.

They’re on display for today only, so if you’re a Sydney MANIAC, head over to Darling Quarter (1 Harbour St, Sydney – between the two CBA Buildings), between 9:30am-5:30pm. Matthew will also be there showing off his balloon artistry and even making mini TMNT and balloon weapons!

Yo YAKS!

Pokémon the Movie: Kyurem vs. The Sword of Justice is so close that we can smell it! The flick hits selected Hoyts cinemas February 16-17 and 23-24 around Australia and New Zealand and some cinemas will have special Pokémon Trading Card demonstrations an hour before the screenings.

Kids Tennis Day!

Time to the hit the courts, YAKS! The Australian Open is just days away and to get you pumped, this Saturday (January 12) is Kids Tennis Day at Australian Open 2013. Tennis Australia and Nickelodeon have teamed up for this MASSIVE and FREE event happening at Melbourne Park from 8:30am to 1pm.

Luke and Wyatt are hosting the event and there’ll be heaps on like Nickelodeon’s Slime Time Live Show, a Celebrity Slam match, on-court activities and more. Spongey and Patrick will be there, plus Guy Sebastian will be performing!

If you wanna get into tennis, it’s the perfect time ‘cos the MLC Tennis Hot Shots program will be giving away 500 racquets on the day! The event’s going to be HUGE, so make sure you check out hotshots.tennis.com.au for more deets!

Yo Sydney YAKS!

The Little Darlings Night Owls Kids Film Fest will be back at the Village Green in Darling Harbor in January. The free film fest is on from January 7-22 and will screen wikkid flicks like Finding Nemo, Wall-E, the original Muppet Movie, E.T. and more! It kicks off at 6:45pm each night, but there’s also entertainment before the movie. Check out www.darlingquarter.com for more deets!

This year, the Night Owls Film Fest will also show short films from the Little Big Shots festival, so make sure you also check out these films made by talented kids!

Family Fun Day!

Wanna check out some rad mini-beasts, MANIACS? Family Fun Day is happening on Sunday, October 14 at the Gould League, VIC – there are heaps of AWSM activities and events on the day like a mini-beast hunt. You can create your own greeting cards, check out some compost critters and live insects and compete in a recycling relay!

Hangin’ at Hotel T!

Gear up for some monster madness with legendary characters like Dracula, the Mummy, and the Invisible Man hitting the big screen in Hotel Transylvania! The movie’s in cinemas from September 20, but we’ve got a fun clip from the film here:

If you can’t wait to see Hotel Transylvania, there are special screenings happening this Sunday September 16 at cinemas all around the country to support the Sony Foundation. Tickets are only $10, so check with your local cinema or their website if you’re interested in seeing a cool flick and helping out a good cause!

Here you can grab a sneak peek at upcoming games like Pokémon Black and White 2, Skylanders Giants, Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed and HEAPS more!

Tear up the track!

Calling all super speedster MANIACS! The next V8 Supercar event is the V8 Supercar Sandown Challenge in VIC from Friday September 14 to Sunday September 16. Not only will there be HEAPS of high speed action, but the Disney-Pixar CARS Truck Tour will be there too. AWSM!

Bring your cameras and get your pic taken with Lightning McQueen and Mack the Transporter, then show off your pedal power skills in the Race-O-Rama PS3 Playoffs and iPad Zone. There’ll also be Cars themed workshops and a jumping castle. Woo! Tickets are on sale now from Ticketek and kids 12 years old and under enter free with a paying adult.
