Yo MANIACS! What did you get up to during the school holidays? The MANIA crew hit the beach and the surf and also squeeze in some wikkid soccer matches. On top of that, we got crafty! We made some sweeeee-eeeet Loco Roco pinatas!

If you wanna know how we did it, just follow these instructions.

You will need:

• a balloon
• newspaper
• glue
• paint

Step 1. Tear the newspaper into strips and glue it onto your balloon. Do about seven layers, and then leave it to dry overnight. The longer you leave it and the more layers you do, the harder it’ll be to smash! Don’t forget to leave a gap at the top so that you can…

Step 2.Stuff it with lollies! It’s best to choose lollies with wrapping because if they fall on the ground, no one will want to eat an unwrapped lolly covered in dirt!

Step 3.Seal the tops with more paper and glue and then paint them any colour you like!

Step 4. Just paint on some eyes and a mouth and look at how rad they look compared to the pinata we bought from a shop! YAY!

We’ve been ultra busy here at MANIA HQ! Hanging out with Batista, playing with the new Nintendo DSi, and road-testing some wikkid toys. Oh, we’ve also been baking some rad cupcakes! Check out these De Blob cupcakes that we made this week. Pretty neat, eh? Not only did we make De Blob cakes, we also made Tetris cupcakes!

Wanna know what all your mini LEGO figurines do when it’s dark and you’re asleep in bed, MANIACS? Then check out this AWSM vid! Some dude’s mini LEGO are building him the Millennium Falcon, you know Han Solo’s rad spaceship in Star Wars…Gnarly!

Those beetles look pretty gnarly, eh? You could even say they look good enough to eat because they’re made of chocolate! Japanese game maker, Namco, whipped up these deliciously buggy treats to sell in their food amusement park, Namja Town.

Priced at ¥4,500 (US$50), visitors to the park can buy the set, which includes one Hercules beetle, one stag beetle, one male rhino beetle and one female rhino beetle!

Check out this neato Pac-Man oven mit, MANIACS! Who woulda thought that baking just got heaps cooler? We wonder if the glove goes “wakka wakka wakka” when you try to retrieve your cookies from the oven!

Here at MANIA HQ, we can’t wait for the new Harry Potter movie! We know you’re busting to see more as well. There’s only a few more months until The Half-Blood Prince hits cinemas so, until then, we’ll just have to make do with this wikkid trailer!
