Run robots, run!

Japan has held the world’s first robot marathon! The marathon kicked off last Thursday in Osaka and went for 42.2km over four days. The track was only 100m so the robots had to do 423 laps of the track. The winner was Team Vstone’s Robovie-PC, which won the marathon in 54 hours, 57 minutes and 50 seconds! The two-legged robots even managed to bend their knees and raise their hands to wave at the audience while they raced!
The rules were that the robots’ batteries and motors were allowed to be changed during the race, but if the bots fell down, they had to get up themselves. Organisers hope to make the marathon an international event one day.
